Expectant mothers are particularly in need of a healthy lifestyle to ensure normal development of the foetus, and to reduce pregnancy complications such as gestational diabetes and preeclampsia.

A successful pregnancy is, to a large extent, determined by a mother’s nutritional status. A pregnant woman needs to know what is considered nutritious, and what to avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding. A balanced diet will help with:

– Proper development of the embryo
– Production of sufficient quantities of breast milk
– Avoidance of excessive weight gain during pregnancy

Our Nutrition Center also works with a non-profit organization called Baby Academy, and offers courses on pregnancy, breastfeeding and transition to solid foods (babyacademycy.com).
